This Privacy Policy explains how Most Wanted Gamers ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to mwgamers.com. We take your privacy seriously and comply with the UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Who we are

Most Wanted Gamers is operated by Quantum Encoding Ltd, a company registered in England (company number 16575953), registered office 33 Oxford Street, Coalville, LE67 3GS. Quantum Encoding Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected on this site, and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC258495.

What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Essential site data — basic request logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) required to serve the site, detect abuse, and maintain security. Retained for a short period on our hosting provider's infrastructure.
  • Analytics data — if you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not sell or share individual analytics data.
  • Advertising data — if you consent, we load the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel. They record which pages you view and when you click through to our store, Lutuno, so that we can measure our own ads on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and show them to people who have read the site. With the same consent we keep the ad click ID you arrived with (from a TikTok, Meta or Google ad) for up to 90 days and pass it to Lutuno if you click through. None of this runs unless you accept advertising cookies.
  • Functional data — we store your theme preference and region in local browser storage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Cookies and consent

When you first visit the site you're presented with a cookie banner. You can accept all, reject all, or manage individual categories (analytics, advertising, functional). Your choice is stored for 13 months. You can change your preferences any time by clearing site data in your browser.

We operate under Google's Consent Mode v2: until you actively consent, Google's scripts run in a reduced, privacy-preserving mode that does not store personal identifiers or build advertising profiles.

Amazon Associates disclosure

Most Wanted Gamers is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme. We earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. This does not affect the price you pay. We route affiliate links to the Amazon marketplace closest to your country based on Cloudflare's country detection — this is anonymous and does not identify you personally.

This site uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and edge security. Cloudflare processes your IP address to route and protect requests. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 — traffic analytics (only with consent). See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Platforms — Meta Pixel, ad measurement and audiences (only with advertising consent). See Meta Privacy Policy.
  • TikTok — TikTok Pixel, ad measurement and audiences (only with advertising consent). See TikTok Privacy Policy.
  • Lutuno — our own online store, a brand of Quantum Encoding Ltd and its sister company Quantum Encoding Europe Limited (Ireland). It is a separate website with its own privacy policy. Links to it tell it the visit came from here, and carry your ad click ID if you consented to advertising cookies.
  • Amazon Associates — affiliate link tracking on outbound clicks to Amazon.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of that data
  • Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on it
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data-protection authority

Data retention

We retain consent preferences for 13 months, matching GDPR guidance on consent lifetime. Aggregate analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google Analytics default settings. Server request logs are retained for up to 30 days.
