Clan Sponsorship Information: Sponsorship Intentions: Midwest Gamers would like to offer sponsorship to clans that are just getting started. The point of this is to give a clan a place to discuss clan matters and a private server to practice and scrim on. This sponsorship will include a private forum that your clan and your clan only will have access to. You will also have access to the MW Tournament server to use for scrims and pick-up games. Sponsorship requirements and guidelines: - The clan must have a minimum of 5 active members. - The clan must have a clan name and tags. - If your clan is sponsored by MW, you must wear the MW tags as subtags at all times. For example, if our clan name was 'Army of Darkness' and our clan tag was [AoD], our Nicknames would look like this: [AoD] Kley -MW- [AoD] Helvetica -MW- [AoD] Smokey_Bones -MW- [AoD] Polygon Prospect -MW- [AoD] <insert name here> -MW- - A clan must designate 2 members as 'Captains'. These captains will have moderator privileges on the clan forum and will have limited admin privileges on the Tournament Server. On the forums, you will be able to make 'sticky' posts and 'announcements'. On the server, you will be able to changemaps, exec Config files (for matches/scrims/pugs), adminsay, and kick players. - A clan must remain active. If there's an extended period of inactivity, MW can choose to discontinue the sponsorship to make room for other interested clans. Inactivity does not mean that the members are not posting on the forums or playing on the public server. An Inactive clan is a clan that it not competing or preparing to compete in the online gaming competitions such as the TWL or CAL (this does not include our MW tournaments). Please understand that we are setting these 'inactivity' guidelines to make sure that the sponsored clans are really wanting sponsorship, and not just looking for admins rights on a private server to screw around with. Currently, we consider about 1 month of non-activity to be an "inactive" clan. This rule is not set in stone and is up to the discretion of -MW-. - At this time, MW only has enough room to sponsor 3-5 clans. - Recruiting and internal disputes are to be settled from within the clan. Bring decisions to the MW administrators, not problems. - If there is an internal dispute, keep that dispute private. Leave the arguing on your private clan forums or chat via email or IM. - Sponsored clans are representatives of Midwest Gamers. Please be fair and courteous to your fellow gamers. Please be do not be bragging winners or sore losers. Remember that MW is hosting and paying for you to have these privileges and asking for very little in return. We don't have to do this. We choose to. Please respect our community and you will receive the same respect in return. - We check the server logs often. If anyone is found power tripping on the tourney server or acting in a fashion that will make MW look bad, sponsorship can and will be terminated immediately. The 'kick' command should only be used if a player won't leave the server during a match (or after if a match is over). The 'adminsay' command should only be used to coordinate the teams. Do not use the commands for fun. - We will be adding a Calendar to the website that will allow the clans to somewhat coordinate which nights they will need the server. We'll update this page with a link to it once it arrives. - Admin Privileges on the private server will be temporarily revoked on 'Tournament Fridays'. ----------------------------- ----------------------------- If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you wish to have your clan sponsored, please email: sponsor@mwgamers.com.
